Make sure to auto-attack in between using abilities to make the most out of her passive, Runic Blade. Once you get level 5, you can try and look for an engage onto the enemy top lane when you have an opportunity to kill. Late Game Once you get to the late game and Riven has her core items, this is where you can become unstoppable. At this stage of the game, the best thing you can do is to group with the team and try and get a pick on the enemy carries. When a team fight happens, you want to make sure you are at the front protecting your team.
