Награда выдаётся за достижение определённого количества балов после нескольких этапов дегустации. Таким образом, в один год может быть несколько золотых, серебряных и бронзовых призёров. И серебряная ачивка нам говорит, что виски не выдающийся, но в целом норм. Пожалуй единственное, что в Акентошане не как у остальных в Шотландии, это тройная перегонка, которая больше характерна Ирландским дистиллятам. Что касается выдержки, то это бочки из под бурбона и хереса. Но как мне кажется, хереса там совсем чуть-чуть, его совершенно не ощущается в запахе и он едва-едва проявляется сладостью во вкусе.

Что касается недавно упомянутого Glen Eagles - не пил, но осуждаю.

На мой взгляд это скорее достоинство. Вкус его несколько облагорожен по сравнению с классическим Лафройгом и несколько напоминает например Caol Ila 12. Несмотря на маленькую выдержку 6 лет этот виски несомненно относится к премиум-классу, и я бы расположил его немного выше чем Лафройг 10. Ну собственно он немного дороже и стоит.
