Art Dubai is gearing up for an exciting 17th edition for 2024, as it announces the first details of the programs and exhibitions. World Art Dubai returns in partnership with Dubai Culture, to the World Trade Centre from 2nd – 5th May 2024.

Notably, works in Bawwaba are created in the past year or specially conceived for the fair. The Modern sector is curated by Dr Christianna Bonin and focuses on artists who studied in Soviet metropoles through Cold War exchanges. Art Dubai Digital explores the intersection of new media art and technology, and is curated by Auronda Scalera and Alfredo Cramerotti. The commissions explore the creation of spaces for contemplation as well as socially-engaged practices, with participating artists such as Mirna Bamieh, Hashel Al Lamki, and Mithu Sen, among others. The season will also include the 12th edition of the Sikka Art and Design Festival, highlighting visual arts and local and regional artistic innovations from 23 February to 3 March 2024, in Al Shindagha Historic Neighbourhood, with distinctive artworks by Emirati and resident artists and various entertainment and musical performances, workshops, and talks. Throughout February and March, Al Quoz Creative Zone and Alserkal Avenue will host a series of cultural and creative events, including art exhibitions, discussions, and diverse experiences.

From March 4 to 8, the fourth edition of the Dubai Festival for School Theatre, organised by Dubai Culture, will show the creativity of school students.
