14 способов создать сверхсильного паладина в Dungeons and Dragons

Fighting Style bonuses do not stack. They can still have a shield or a spell focus in the other hand and still get the bonus. Great Weapon Fighting: Can reroll damage rolls on a 1 or 2 when using a 2-handed attack with a weapon with the versatile or 2-handed trait. The 2nd roll must be used. Protection: When an enemy attacks an ally that the Paladin can see within 5ft, the Paladin can use a reaction to force the roll to have disadvantage. The major Ability Modifier used to cast spells for the Paladin is their Charisma modifier.

Check out the list of Paladin Spells. By expending a 1st level spell slot they can add 2d8 Radiant damage to their attack. There is a cap of 5d8 and if the target is a fiend or undead it gets an additional 1d8.

This guide treats Paladin as a Charisma primary class rather than Strength for the purpose of enhancing the strong points of Paladin, an approach encouraged for all Paladins. Background Sailor Skills — Intimidation, Perception. Perception is the most used skill in the game and important to every character.

Athletics from Sailor we already have, and can thus replace with any other skill. This is situational, but being able to secure free passage on a ship can be a boon in some campaigns. A magic weapon. This is likely out of your control, but for this build, a magic spear or quarterstaff would be ideal. If you find a magic halberd or glaive, you can work with those too. Some monsters have resistance or immunity to non-magical weapon attacks, and being able to bypass that resistance with your attacks is important.

Level 1 Strategy In combat, we want to be attacking twice with our glaive while wearing our chain mail. Whenever an enemy enters our reach which will be 10 feet at this point , take the free opportunity attack. Save Lay on Hands for between combat healing unless an ally has gone down, in which case you should give them one point of healing. Level 2 Paladin Fighting Style — Dueling. Note: Your reach is now 5 feet. Note that Divine Smite specifically says you deal the damage when you hit a creature, so it will never be wasted on a miss, and if you score a critical hit, you can choose to use a Divine Smite on that hit and double the damage.

Resistances like this are common as you gain levels, and the Moon-Touched Sword is an inexpensive way to overcome them until a better weapon comes along. The actual magic stuff is amusing, but probably not important. Most melee fighters will prefer a Moon-Touched Sword, but for polearm masters this is your best bet at this rarity. Uncommon Magic Items Adamantine Armor DMG : Curiously, due to the insanely high price of full plate and the inconsistent price of magic items, adamantine full plate can often be less expensive than regular full plate.

Boomerang Shield BoMT : An interesting solution to range weaponry, providing the benefits of a returning weapon while also providing the benefit of a shield. If you dumped Strength to 8, going straight to 19 can be helpful. Guardian Emblem : This can prevent a ton of damage to your party. Lantern of Revealing DMG : An excellent counter to invisible enemies for a class without a built-in way to handle them.

Mistral Mantle GotG : Cold resistance and you can knock an enemy prone just my moving near them. Make sure you take proficiency in Perception if you can manage it without sacrificbing a Face skill. Nothing fancy, but very effective. Lightly-armored paladins might still prefer a Broom of Flying.

Fire and poison are safe choices. Imagine rushing to get to 20 Strength then finding an item that raises your Strength to 21 more with higher rarities. Still, if you can get one you absolutely should. Taking damage from any source spells, etc.

You can notably cast every spell from the beads as a Bonus Action yes, including Planar Ally which normally has a 10-minute casting time , allowing you to quickly heal allies or get Bless running while leaving your Action for attacks or cantrips. Periapt of Proof Against Poison DMG : Poison damage is very common across the full level range, so immunity to it is a significant improvement in your durability. Ring of Spell Storing DMG : Fill it with Absorb Elements and Shield and recharge it whenever possible and this is a spectacular defensive asset on almost any character. Radiant damage is great, but most creatures with resistance to weapon damage types are affected normally by magic weapons so the benefits of radiant damage compared to piercing or slashing damage from a magical we oapon are minor.

Animated Shield DMG : Tempting for anyone not fighting with a one-handed weapon, but a Cloak of Protection is two rarities lower, works persistently, and arguably provides a better numeric bonus. If you plan to get full plate, get Dwarven Plate instead.

Backgrounds Recommended options: City watch, courtier, faceless, faction agent, gambler, smuggler, soldier Options to avoid: Archaeologist, fisher, folk hero, inheritor, ruined Considerations: Primarily, you want your background to beef out your skills you only get 2 skill proficiencies with your class. Skills Recommended options: Athletics, insight, intimidation, persuasion Options to avoid: Medicine, religion Considerations: Persuasion is going to be your most important face skill but intimidation can be great too. Feats Recommended options: Gift of the Chromatic dragon, great weapon master, heavy armor master, inspiring leader, lucky, polearm master, resilient, sentinel, slasher Options to avoid: Grappler, healer, keen mind, martial adept, observant, ritual caster, sharpshooter, skulker Considerations: Any feats that make you tougher like heavy armor master , better in combat like great weapon master , use your charisma like inspiring leader or that keep your enemies engaged in combat with you like sentinel. Considerations: Polearms can be really effective for paladins giving them a greater presence on the battlefield. Combine them with sentinel and polearm master to make it really tough for enemies to bypass you for softer party members. Much will depend on your fighting approach though. Two-handed weapons for damage dealers, one handed for tanks with a shield and if you have gone for a finesse build, consider a rapier. Javelins use strength though and are one handed so tend to be the best option.

Armor Recommended options: Heavy armor for low dexterity builds full plate when you can afford it , light armor studded leather is best for high dexterity builds. Options to avoid: Make sure your armor matches with your dexterity score. Medium armor should not be a good option as you should either be dumping dexterity or going all in on it. Add a shield for extra durability at the sacrifice of some damage output. Generally though, a shield is an excellent option for a paladin. Options to avoid: All options are viable depending on your build and no options are bad. Considerations: Defense is your best option for enhancing your durability. Protector builds will get a decent amount out of interception and protection, but they do rely on more situational circumstances and fighting alongside allies. Blind fighting is even more situational, but great if you can consistently work with your warlock to use darkness against your enemies. Blessed warrior will rarely give you something superior to do with your action unless you intend to take a ranged or out of combat cantrip but tends to be the weaker option.

Multiclassing Recommended options: Bard, Sorceror, Warlock Options to avoid: Barbarian, Rogue Considerations: Bards, sorcerors and warlocks are a great option for getting extra spell slots for casting smites and other paladin spells. All 3 classes all use charisma as their spellcasting ability which works nicely for a paladin. Warlock is probably your best option, especially a hexblade. Bards will give you bardic inspiration, spells and extra skills. Great if you want to give your paladin a bit more utility outside of combat. Barbarians feel like they could be a good fit, but tend not to work well in heavy armor.

The guide that follows uses a color-coding system to rank the abilities granted. Party Role Paladins are primary melee combatants and secondary support characters. Your job as a paladin is to stand between the weak and any danger that presents itself. Your weapon proficiencies and heavy armor grant you strength and durability. Your divine magic grants you healing and abjuration to enhance your abilities.

Strengths: Proficiency with all weapons and armor mean Paladins are well equipped for almost any combat encounter. High armor class and hit points make Paladins resilient enough to tank most threats. Consistent damage output, and access to additional damage sources. Extra Attack, Divine Smite and proficiency with two-handed weapons means Paladins are able to dish out damage quickly, consistently, and reliably.

Support magic allows Paladins to heal and buff. Weaknesses: Reliance on weapons makes Paladins single-target fighters. Against a horde of enemies, casters are more suited to deal with the threat. Code of conduct.

Paladins are required to be Lawful, which means you need to role play specific ideals. Limited skill utility. Paladins rely on other classes for Intelligence and Wisdom-based skill tests. They are proficient with heavy armor.

You have no reason to have a high Dexterity score, so you can safely dump it. Constitution: Paladins are arguably the most durable and self-sufficient class in the game. By keeping your Constitution nice and high, you ensure your survivability. Intelligence: You can safely dump this stat.

Wisdom: Paladins are high-Charisma characters, and benefit from social skills. Charisma: Your Paladin abilities are all tied to Charisma. Scourge: The added durability is welcome. BugbearVGtM: Strength and reach make you powerful.

Dragonborn: Strength and Constitution increases, energy resistance, and a breath weapon. Dwarf: The Constitution increase is welcome. Elf: Elves are naturally lithe and dexterous, where Paladin looks for Brute Strength. Drow: Sunlight sensitivity is a huge drawback.

EladrinMToF: Charisma, and the teleportation ability make a nice combo. High Elf: Not useful for Paladin. Wood Elf: Not useful for Paladin. Some innate spellcasting.

Earth: Strength and Constitution, plus some additional abilities. Fire: Not useful for Paladin. Water: Not useful for Paladin. Githyanki: Strength increase, but otherwise not useful.

Githzerai: Not useful for Paladin. Gnome: Nothing Gnome has to offer is useful for Paladins. Forest: Not useful for Paladin. Rock: Not useful for Paladin.

GoblinVGtM: A hilarious choice, your movement and Fury of the Small can be useful, but other races are generally better. Half-Elf: The best overall choice for Paladin, and a great choice for any class at all. Charisma, and your choice of two others but make them Strength and Constitution Standard: Two free skills! If you really want Booming Blade or Green Flame Blade, go with the feat so you at least get a 1st level spell out of it as well.

Half-Orc: Good stat increases, speed, and a skill. Stout: Extra durability in a small frame. Human: Humans are a very versatile race that work well in any class. Variant: You can still increase your main stats, and you have an option to pick up a feat at first level.

OrcVGtM: Half-orc is strictly better. And the Eberron variant is the better use of the Orc race. TabaxiVGtM: feline agility functions even in heavy armor, so this race is actually viable for Paladin. Some of the subraces add even more.

Standard: The basic Tiefling grants abilities that help out, but some other variants are better. LevistusMToF: The spells are very useful, but this subrace causes you to miss out on key ability score buffs. ZarielMToF: Good ability score increases, spells, and extra smites. TritonVGtM:Perfect ability score spread, spellcasting, and resistance.

Two skills, and disguise. Beasthide: Strength and Constitution, and a free skill. The temporary hit points you gain while shifting are a great perk as well. Longtooth: A less favorable ability score increase, but the extra attack granted by your shifting more than makes up for it.

Swiftstride: Not useful for Paladin. Wildhunt: Not useful for Paladin. Strength, a flexible ability score increase, natural armor, AC bonus, and the vigilance to keep watch over a sleeping party. Totally flexible, and lots of great options.

Class Features Hit Dice: d10 hit points put you at the top of the hit point game. Weapon Proficiencies: All weapons. The best kind. Armor Proficiencies: All armor and shields.

Great Weapon Fighting: For when you want two hands on your weapon. As written this is incredible because the re-roll will apply to Divine Smite damage. Protection: Another good style for you shield users. Uses your reaction to impose disadvantage, if your party looks to you for protection this fits that role. Worthwhile if you see yourself climbing rigging and swimming in the oceans. Like Druids this gives them amazing day-to-day versatility. A holy symbol is required as a focus, which can be worn as an amulet or embossed on your shield. Divine Smite: The cornerstone of your burst damage ability. This one can especially become devastating on a critical hit, in which case the damage dice from this are doubled.

Another key thing to remember about this is that it uses no action whatsoever, which means you can use it multiple times per round if you have additional attacks, can use it on the same turn you cast a bonus action spell including stacking this on top of a smite spell! NOTE: The 5d8 cap means the maximum damage from this uses a 4th-level spell slot, so you get no benefit from blowing a 5th-level slot. This may need to be errata-ed to a 6d8 cap. Divine Health 3rd Level : Immune to disease. Great when it comes up. The archetype you choose grants you features at 3rd level and again at 7th, 15th, and 20th level. Only the Fighter gets more of these. Max out your primary stats and then take a some feats. Aura of Protection 6th Level : Arguably the signature of the Paladin class, where you add your CHA modifier to all of your saving throws.

And if allies are within 10 feet, they get that benefit, too. Aura of Courage 10th Level : Frightened can be quite nasty for a melee combatant, which you are, because it not only invokes disadvantage on all attack rolls and ability checks, but it also prevents you from moving towards the source of the frightening. Improved Divine Smite 11th Level : Bonus radiant damage every time you hit at no cost. Cleansing Touch 14th Level : Negate a hostile spell on yourself or an ally with your action, with CHA-mod uses per day. Pretty neat ability, if not quite a flat-out game changer. Aura Improvements 18th Level : All those lovely Auras you get Protection, Courage, anything from your Oath expand from 10 feet to 30 feet. Strength is the best for a two-handed attacker, both are viable for dual wielding and sword-and-board fighting styles. Dex: Dexterity is obviously preferable for finese weapons. Con: Another top tier stat.

Hit points are just too important to let slide. Paladins are melee combatants, and more hit points lets them stay in combat for longer and recover more HP with hit dice. If you plan on casting Concentration spells in the middle of combat, you want a decent score here to maintain them when taking damage. It helps that the Paladin is proficient in Wisdom saves. Boost Charisma instead and let Aura of Protection take care of the rest. Defensive bonuses are also useful early though some options may be less effective later. Enlarge gives you advantage on STR checks and saves, plus an extra d4 damage on each attack. They get Darkvision, advantage against charm and immunity to sleep. Boosted darkvision and Faerie Fire can help in an ongoing underground campaign, and the sunlight sensitivity hurts if you go outside.

Maybe you can wear a big fancy hat like Jarlaxxle. The new Fey Step also has a side effect depending on what season you are, which you can change any day you want. Note that Winter is a frightening effect and is thus valuable for Conquest. Using a bonus action you can do a short range teleport that gives you resistance to all damage. A solid defensive option. Relying on at least 3 stats makes this a decent idea but not an incredible one. Get a head start on your character concept with a feat! The small size but without the benefits of Lucky or the Dex Bonus. Many Paladins will want to consider this, there are even more sub-race options on Half-Elf now similar to the Elf subraces.

Perception is a solid choice in any campaign and the other one is up to you. All the positives with none of the downsides. Good deal. Thematically a Fiend Paladin who is resistant to fire like a Blackguard just sounds badass. The Variant Tieflings are a mixed bag.. Hellish Rebuke and Darkness give you some ranged options and utility. Charm person and Entrall based on your Charisma spellcasting modifier are also solid options if used correctly. Hellfire : Replacing the hellish rebuke with burning hands helps your ability to handle some hordes, not a huge change though. Winged: Instead of extra spells you get to fly around when not wearing heavy armour.

Darkvision, resistance to necrotic and radiant damage, free Light cantrip and a long-rest recharge, scaled-back version of Lay on Hands that means you can conserve some of your actual Lay on Hands. The rest of the abilities are a bit hap-hazard for a Paladin. A big strong Goliath is similar to a Half-Orc where you get Athletics for free instead of Intimidation. Tabaxi get Darkvision, extra movement, built in weapons, and free proficiency in Stealth and Perception.

Bless is usually better, but sometimes you want this. For such a low level spell, this effect is very powerful, and can severely hinder the large number of monsters who rely on attacks and are crippled by being frightened. However, this costs concentration both before and after the strike. Sacred Oath — Oath of Devotion.

In encounters against these creature types, this is very handy. If you are about to short rest and have an unspent Channel Divinity, you can recover a slot for no cost. Spells Prepared 1st Level: bless, command, protection from evil and good, sanctuary, shield of faith, wrathful smite. Sanctuary D — Also situational. Level 3 Strategy At this level, we get significantly better at taking on combats where we get a round to prepare, as we can set up Sacred Weapon and wrathful smite in one turn before combat starts. If we run up against undead or fiends, we also have a powerful tool against them in Turn the Unholy. While the main reason for this is to boost the power of Aura of Protection at level 6, this has some notable benefits for us now: It raises the DC of all of our spells, the bonus to hit from Sacred Weapon, and our number of spells prepared. Spells Prepared 1st Level: bless, command, heroism, protection from evil and good, sanctuary, shield of faith, thunderous smite, wrathful smite.

Heroism — Provides a modest amount of temporary hit points, but more notably, immunity to fear to an ally. Thunderous smite — Another source of damage plus control, and uses a rare Strength save. Level 4 Strategy It is around this level when Lay on Hands starts showing its merit as an in-combat healing effect.

Therefore, how you build this warlock should be consistent with the role you wish to fulfill. This Nature Warden build allows you to focus on a particular theme while still using the Divine Smite combo, and also giving you great crowd control options. All builds considering optimized build for single target damage. The y-axis represents damage, and the x-axis represents levels. Corrupted Paladin.

Paladin 5e – DnD Class Guide

Некоторые персонажи этого класса не считают себя настоящими паладинами до того как они получат 3-м уровень и не дадут эту клятву. Паладин — класс которого не было в самой первой редакции D&D. Появился он только в дополнении, как вариант развития законопослушного воина. And with a wide variety of features and subclasses, Paladins are also a ton of fun to play in DnD 5e. In this Paladin DnD 5E guide, we’ll train you on your options as a Paladin, as well as supportive choices you can make to build your character to achieve what you want.

D&D 5E Basic Build Series: Paladin

Holy Warrior Good for: Dealing high damage, still reasonably durable and very much a frontline combatant Creating a warrior: High strength for melee weapons , high constitution, heavy armor to increase AC full plate if you can afford it. Two-handed weapons are best with the great weapon fighting style but if you opt for a sword and shield which is statistically a better build then the dueling fighting style can help compensate for some of the lost damage output. Use your spell slots on smites to maximise your damage output. How it works: holy warrior builds are also great at wading into combat, and while they can definitely soak up a fair bit of damage, will lack the AC of a tank build to absorb as many attacks. Instead, you can focus on thinning the herd in an attack is the best form of defence kind of method. Your best options for damage dealing are a two handed weapon with the great weapon fighting style or a one handed weapon, shield and the dueling fighting style which works while holding a shield and allows you to take a hybrid approach to damage and defense. Protector Good for: A variation of the tank so great for soaking up attacks, but works closely with allies to protect them from danger. Creating a protector: High strength for melee weapons , high constitution, heavy armor to increase AC full plate if you can afford it. You can take spells like heroism and bless to enhance your allies bless is usually the better option, but heroism is good if you expect to face a frightening enemy and compelled duel to prevent others being attacked. How it works: Tactically, the protector build is the hardest to make work. Interception will be used a little less than the other fighting styles making them technically inferior though not bad.

Use your auras to protect allies from conditions, again, staying close to allies. Which subclass should I choose? Oaths tend to form a large part of the ideals for your paladin, so a paladin seeking to make restitution for past crimes might take the oath of redemption while paladins seeking to exact righteous judgement on their foes might take the oath of vengeance. Oath of Devotion Description: Holy warriors, devoted to their cause. Good for: Archetypal paladins with a broad mix of abilities. Oath of the Ancients Description: Paladins that seek to wage war against darkness for a love of light and life. Good for: Paladins that want to be a bit more like a ranger. Good for: Paladins that want to exact as much damage as possible, as quickly as possible. Good for: Paladins that have broken their oaths. Good for: Paladins that want to go big on protecting their allies.

Oath of Conquest Description: A paladin sworn to conquer and bring about victory. Good for: Paladins that want to deal more damage and handle crowds better. Oath of Redemption Description: Paladins that believe anyone can be redeemed and will inflict death only as a last resort.

Spellcasting — Spellcasting is a hugely important piece of the Paladin class, and adds to your versatility and effectiveness beyond the simple damage increase from Divine Smite. Spells Prepared 1st Level: bless, command, shield of faith, wrathful smite. Command — A good control spell that can force an enemy to spend its turn doing something advantageous to you. For example: Command a creature in melee with you to flee to cause it to provoke opportunity attacks from you and any allies in melee with it. This was confirmed to not violate the restrictions for Command in Sage Advice.

Gulo had been ready for them, however. The attack lasted for days with both sides watching their comrades fall by their side. However, at last the leaders of the Red Dragon forces thought they had figured out a plan that would work. They used a magic potion that could make them invisible, but this meant they would not be able to see each other or Gulo in order for it to work. That was accomplished by using ropes. As they prepared their attack, two leaders of the Red Dragons covered themselves with shields painted with pictures to see each other by reflection. Available as an eBook or in a classic print format. He got so angry that he breathed fire at them. The swordsmen defended themselves using their shields, and most of them died in the attack, but they had done it! Gulo was tied up! Another group of Red Dragons then entered his mouth and cut off his great golden tongue. The Redians were rewarded by the king. The queen was very thankful for the death of her nemesis. She offered Zaela and her clerics a permanent place in Yorebridge Castle if she ever needed a safe place to stay. With the death of Gulo, peace in the land has once again been established. But more than once, someone has thought of reviving the great dragon Gulo from his sleep beneath Yorebridge Castle. Some think it is just a rumor, while others are sure that someone is trying to recreate one of the most powerful dragons in history! It will be up to Hunter and Zaela to stop these people before they destroy the world all over again! Personality: Xanthe is an idealist. She is determined to protect the weak and weak of heart. She will always try to do the right thing and see the good in others— even when it seems impossible. Her ambition is to travel around the world and do good wherever she goes. Appearance: Xanthe is a tall, thin halfling with dark green hair. She is very muscular from years of training and fighting. Her striking, blue eyes make her appear even taller. When she is on her horse, she dons a beautiful long, white robe that features a depiction of Helm on the back. Start of Character: She is intent on helping the war effort of the Grabisco Kingdom and finding adventure wherever it takes her. He was taken in by an order of paladins and raised as one of their own.
