Lastly, Gauthier has shown his shift-to-shift consistency can waver a little bit. Overall Outlook Although Gauthier does have the ability to play both left wing and center, his overall game may be suited more to a left-wing role at the next level. His ability to use his stride and his speed to break out wide and fly past defenders in the offensive zone. This season has seen Gauthier suited to a predominantly left-wing role, which has allowed him to focus on being a little more offensively inclined, as his point totals and overall play in the O-zone has certainly showed.
After being drafted 5 overall to the Philadelphia Flyers , he led BC in scoring this season and was one of the best freshmen in the nation. His returning production, combined with the stacked freshman class that Boston College is bringing in next year, is setting BC up to be legitimate contenders for the Hockey East title and possibly more.

Whatever the coach wants to do. They have speed, size, and scoring ability. We are close friends off the ice.
Gauthier is an important leader on this team and the fact that this camp got the juices flowing again with his linemates is more important than what happened during drills. This year we have seven or eight guys from BC. Gauthier worked hard over the summer.
A lot of it centres around scoring goals and he will be looked at as the main shot on the power play. Just bringing it every single shift. Shift in and shift out.

Gauthier was always considered a fairly safe pick due to his projectable frame and well-rounded game but he took his offense to another level this year and could end up being selected in the top-10 of the 2022 NHL Draft as a result. Gauthier can make plays off the wall, plays a solid physical game, and is an efficient distributor who utilizes his teammates effectively.
