Были рады увидеться с Олесей Туркиной, куратором из Русского музея, встретили Стивена Сакса, основателя нью-йоркской bitforms gallery. Что касается ОАЭ, то они двигаются в верном направлении: инвестируют в качественные события и проекты. Мне кажется, у Эмиратов есть все шансы в будущем стать заметной точкой на карте арт-мира. Я во второй раз на Art Dubai. Кажется, что в прошлом году очень ярко прозвучала секция Digital, были действительно достойные работы, много открытий.
В этом году все было не так ярко. Очень понравились работы итальянского фотографа Jacopo di Sera, представленные галерей Isabella Brancolini в разделе Digital. С удовольствием бы приобрела в коллекцию пару работ. Bawwaba с отличной инсталляцией палестинской художницы Mirna Bamieh от Nika Project Space получилась неплохой.
Art Dubai 2024: Global Art Forum and Commissions This year, Art Dubai has announced an expanded program of collaborations with local and international partners. With a keen eye for architecture, Belhamar has meticulously captured Dubai—the desert that has blossomed into a metropolis—in experimental prints, videos, and three-dimensional models and installations. The artist created an experiential installation — with the BMW i7 at its center — using motion-driven projections to juxtapose the urban streetscape with the serene, monumental presence of nature. The projections conveyed navigating the fast-changing city, while at the same time symbolized art as a means to pause and scrutinize time in motion.
In a time when there is a great deal of worry over whether artificial intelligence will serve as a force for good or bad, and an era where there is a love-hate relationship with the fast-and-furious adoption and overuse of digital technology, Art Dubai Digital was an enlightening display of how creative new media can supplement and enhance our growth and human capacity, rather than hinder progress. Intended to provide some respite from the information inundation typically associated with screens, her compositions embody a philosophy of Digital Humanism, an examination of digital tools in relation to the human condition. The immersive installation invites the viewer to pause and reflect, offering a moment of connection between the rich heritage of the past and the boundless potential of the future.

With a keen eye for architecture, Belhamar has meticulously captured Dubai—the desert that has blossomed into a metropolis—in experimental prints, videos, and three-dimensional models and installations. The artist created an experiential installation — with the BMW i7 at its center — using motion-driven projections to juxtapose the urban streetscape with the serene, monumental presence of nature.
The projections conveyed navigating the fast-changing city, while at the same time symbolized art as a means to pause and scrutinize time in motion.
