Это связано с текущими высокими ценами на газ в Европе. Ранее о приостановке производства азотных удобрений по этой же причине сообщили польские Grupa Azoty и Anwil, а также литовский завод Achema. Природный газ является основным сырьем для производства большинства азотных удобрений, включая аммиак.
По предварительным оценкам, ремонт должен был занять три недели.
Затем стало известно, что завод закрыт как минимум на три месяца, потом возобновление производства перенесли на середину декабря. Ожидается, что выход на полную загрузку случится в марте 2023 года. Завод способен поставлять 15 миллионов тонн СПГ в год.
