As a result, Hanna-Barbera was forced to outsource much of their animation, which affected the quality of their product. But the end of the decade found the company on the auction block as a result of the debts incurred by Great American Broadcasting, which had purchased Taft Broadcasting in 1987.

HW: Our Kickstarter community has always been a true delight in the experience of creating games. But then we took Serpent in the Staglands to Kickstarter, and suddenly there were people talking to us!
And giving us ideas and suggestions! It was wonderful. Not just because no one should develop a game in a bubble, but just being digitally surrounded by people who love CRPGs was great.
