The release of Revit Software 2024 is intriguing, but the software may be evolving slower than the industry would prefer. To reset the pattern, you can use the Entire Surface again. This style can be described as a hybrid mode between Consistent Colors and Realistic. It will show textures like in the Realistic mode but without the global lights which sometimes can be a little buggy on floorplans. You can use the Texture style for presentation in 3D views, or floor planners, for example. However, Revit 2024 has introduced its own Color Book. This Color Book has premade colors of different sets that can be used for different materials, filled regions, etc.
Not only do the Color Books feature a variety of pre-existing color sets, such as Pantone colors, but they have also expanded to include RAL colors. Furthermore, you are allowed to search for a color in the blank field below the Color Books dialog. In order to use this feature properly, you need to be very precise when typing your search terms into the blank field. After downloading or creating your own Color Book, you can put the. Also, the visual styles are very inconsistent in their behavior when adding them to your project and when printing them in Vector Or Raster mode.
Thankfully, in Revit 2024 you are allowed to change the draw order in the Arrange panel of the family editor. Use the Bring to Front or Send to Back buttons to re-arrange the draw order.
I find that the new icons and the dark mode make the interface a lot clearer and easier to use. The TopoSolid tool allows you to create site elements that have depth and thickness, unlike the TopoSurface tool, which only created flat surfaces. The TopoSolid tool works similarly to the floor tool. You first sketch an extrusion boundary with magenta lines, then you can modify the sub-elements by adding points at specific heights to create slopes. There are six site solids to choose from in the type selector. I added a floor, slab edges, and then a section box , which allowed me to create the detailed view below. Nothing overlapped, YES!
You can also change the structure and material of TopoSolids, allowing you to create more complex site elements such as lakes, hills, roads, and more. I can now use voids or floors to cut site models, which makes it much easier to create section views and have lots of printable details in place. This is a great addition that eliminates the need to use floors or other workarounds to create site elements. This view style allows you to view materials with textures without the performance hit of the Realistic view. The Textures view style is ideal for creating presentation-ready views that showcase your design intent and material choices.

Массив при этом не ломается и не выдаёт ошибок, лишние элементы просто скрываются. В проектах не самая нужная вещь, а вот при создании семейств избавляет от некоторых костылей. Окно свойств Типоразмера В окне свойств типоразмера добавили кнопку сортировки параметров По умолчанию — По алфавиту, и теперь это окно запоминает ширину столбцов при закрытие окна раньше сбрасывалось.
In this example, the toposolid is cut to accommodate the foundation wall and footing. The volume of the toposolid accurately reflects the substraction of the these elements. This can be use to create curbs.
You cannot use this tool on subdivisions, or on very complex shapes. If someone from Autodesk is reading: please fix this! It would be great to place the slab edges on sub-division.
Meanwhile, you can use the railings tool to create curbs. Since toposolids are similar to floors, you can switch the composition entirely and have lakes, concrete pads, and other site components while keeping the original topography points. Be careful, though.
You can use them on the new toposolid category. In Revit 2024: You can use the same Graded Region tool on toposolid. These are quite helpful.
Be careful: Apparently, these values are not always accurate. If the sketch boundaries of the new toposolid are different, the calculated volumes will not be correct. Activate the preview this way: You can see the difference when the option is active.

You can also do this from the View tab by selecting the View icon, which will open a window that will also allow you to select multiple views at a time. Both of these buttons have an arrow for additional options. These options have been available in a project file for annotation items and work the same as they do in the. This is a great feature for those who are having to manage Revit and IFC exports. Once the mapping for the components is set up, there is an option in IFC Export to select the entities to export. To navigate to it you will need to select Modify Setup and then the Advance tab.

Предлагаемая замена для инструмента строительной площадки - пустоты в массе. Субрегионы автоматически преобразуются в подразделы. На рисунке 28 показаны различные настройки типа для этого нового элемента. Обратите внимание на две вещи.

In the above image, the segment names are displayed to reduce the amount of space required but you can also configure the Bending Details specifically for use within schedules. Here in the UK, it would only be necessary to show the bending sketch for non-standard shapes so it would be useful to see a feature where you could control which shape codes use the new Bending Detail and display on the schedule. Again, this is the first iteration, and I am sure we will see other additions to this new feature in future releases. We will now look at a feature that was released in Revit 2023. Whilst this is an amazingly simple tool it really makes a difference when working with rebar. In the example below we have a rebar set which is configured for the spacing and number of bars. If I add additional bars, they may end up on the wrong end of the rebar set.
Another new tool in Revit 2024 allows us to control the alignment of freeform rebar when placing along a path. In previous releases, the rebar would stay aligned to the path, but we can now align the rebar vertically if required. An example of this is shown below with the curved wall with a tapering base. In this example, the rebar is aligned vertically but still runs along the path. Analytical Modelling Updates Many of these updates happened in Revit 2023. Lat year we saw the introduction of an independent analytical model that could be managed and controlled separately from the physical model. To strengthen this workflow, we have some new tools to help with the definition of the analytical model. We can now create curved panels.
The curved panel is then created. When defining the analytical model, previously you would need to manually associate this to its physical counterpart, but we now have a new assisted option. This is, of course, much more efficient and will eliminate mistakes. The physical or analytical model can both be used to build the counterpart automatically. For example, if the engineer has started to build the analysis model in Revit, the technician can then use Dynamo Player to create the physical model based on the analytical model properties. Analytical Loads The loads in previous releases were split into two groups, we had hosted loads and non-hosted loads which could be point, line or area loads. The non hosted loads would not update and would have needed to be recreated when the analytical model updated. Also, point loads were exceedingly difficult to place in precise locations and had to be done in plan views with workplanes.
Selection of All for Resize Rows makes the row height consistent. Figure 12. New options in in the Properties Palette for schedules placed on sheets. Schedule Revision Clouds Revision clouds can now be scheduled. This includes the ability to schedule related information such as the sheet or view name that the cloud is placed on.

Place Multiple Views and Schedules Multiple selected views and schedules can be dragged from the Project Browser onto a sheet. These are spaced out sufficiently so they do not overlap, but they likely require manual adjustment once placed. It is also possible to drag views from one sheet to another within the Project Browser as shown in Figure 16, in which case the views are positioned in the same location. Figure 15. Family parameters are unchanged from previous behavior. Architectural The architectural discipline has several new features and will make a lot of architects and designers happy.
Of course, we will all have wishlist items not found in the update. Be sure to head to the Revit Ideas site and make sure you post or vote for enhancements you want. Here is an example of a much needed enhancement to the Bind Revit Link Revit Idea that would maintain phases — most do not realize that all phase settings are lost when you bind a Revit link until they need to do it! Textures View Style Revit has a new view style called Textures. I was in the beta user group for this one.
It is a cross between shaded and realistic. It shows the appearance asset texture but without global lighting, so the materials are a consistent color on all surfaces and at all angles. It is possible to have ambient and sun shadows on in this mode as shown in the examples below. Figure 19. Textures view style example with ambient shadows on.

Each load type has distinct options to assist when placing the load onto the analytical element. For example, the below image shows a point load being placed, and you can place this on an end point or pick a position along the element. When working with loads, the scale can now be controlled via the Structural Settings dialog box. Here you can set the minimum and maximum load value and set the actual length of the arrows. This is useful to visually check load magnitude.
The loads can now also be controlled with view filters which enables parametric floor loading plans, something that many users have been doing with filled regions!
Improved site modeling Introduced Toposolids. Site design tools have been redesigned which makes it easier to model topography and create landscape project. Toposurface, Building Pad and Subregion tools are completely removed. Toposolids replaced Toposurface. As their names suggest, the main difference is that Toposolids are created as solid geometry and Toposurface as surfaces.
Toposolids are very similar to shape-edited floors, or more precisely it combine features of floors and toposurfaces from previous versions of Revit. You can create new types of Toposolid and change types using Type Selector. Unlike Toposurface, Toposolid has a thickness and you can set different contour display for every toposolid type. In this version you can use Floor Slab Edge, but take into account that it can only be placed on the edge of the toposolid, the edge of subdivision is not supported. Modernized and improved user interface Dark theme. Revit provides dark theme which allows you to set AutoCAD-style interface.
The color of the main window can be set separately using Canvas Theme tool located in the View tab. My Insight panel.
With improved search functionality that accounts for typographical errors and provides more relevant results, designers can quickly locate the specific nodes and packages they require, thereby saving time. This version also introduces enhanced package node identification and a more refined Python editor experience, among other upgrades.
Revit Home Tech Preview and Dark Theme for Schedules The new Revit Home, currently in Tech Preview, introduces better navigation within Revit, while the dark theme for schedules and improved color conversion contribute to a user experience that is more consistent, comfortable, and conducive to extended work sessions. This early-stage design tool supports critical decisions regarding solar panel placement and window orientation.
