Sunset persisted almost everyday growing only more annoyed every time her mentor denied her the knowledge she wanted. Sunset Shimmer ended up seeing Princess Celestia as a hinderance, an object that was stopping her from achieving her destiny. It finally got to the point where Sunset took matters into her own hooves and ran through the portal to gain what she believed was rightfully hers.
